"Do not hesitate to book; excellent rental company"

TRULY SUBLIME! Do not go to the major rental companies in Portugal, but try Visacar instead. This is a trustworthy rental company with a high level of service. They treat you with the greatest respect and respond swiftly on any of your questions (in fluent English). Everything was smoothly arranged. The hospitality Visacar show you, is something others put in last place. For hotel Vila Petra, Visacar even delivers and picks up your car at the front desk. My advice (and also Visacar's) is to buy the full insurance instead of the basic. No matter how careful you are with the rental car, Albufeira is full of drunken people at night. My rental car was vandalized while parked, but thanks to the full insurance coverage all was taken care of by Visacar. Otherwise I had to take full responsibility for a maximum of EUR 922. Be aware that you afterwards be charged (as stipulated in every rental contract in Portugal) for toll roads you used during the rental period.

We rented a car from Visacar and we’re delighted with the service, the car, and the price. Our car was delivered to our apartment and picked up from there as well. So easy. The car was clean and in perfect condition. The price? Let’s just say that we saved hundreds of euros by renting from Visacar. To top it off, the agent was personable and very polite. Best car rental experience we have ever had. Will only use Visacar car rental service when we are in the Algarve.
